The real struggle
My daughter, Olivia, hardly spoke, cried often, and seemed to become overwhelmed by everything. I tried all the things I thought I was supposed to do: pediatrician advice, speech therapy, screen-free limits, different parenting techniques. And still, there were moments when I had absolutely no idea how to reach her.
My husband once looked at me and said, “Figure this out, or you'll kill each other.” He wasn't exactly wrong.
